Abstract
Natural convection in closed enclosures has always been a challenging problem. Owing to the complexity of the flow and wide range of engineering applications ranging from solar collectors to nuclear reactors this field has attracted a lot of research interest. In the current paper turbulent natural convective flow at in a vertical annular cavity has been simulated. Main purpose of this study is to study the thermal boundary layer growth along the boundaries and its comparison with available experimental data.
