Pakistan is facing energy crises from last two decade, government took measure and installed coal fired power plant to fill the gap between supply and demand. Energy production must be sustainable and pollution free is a challenge .

World is using coal and getting energy about 54percent from coal fired power plant due to low cost fuel. Japan and even china is using advanced technologies and processes for converting raw coal into pure coal having less impact on the environment. Advanced burners and combustion technologies can improve the efficiency of energy conversion systems (boilers).   Pakistan installed many coal fired power plants and hardly one coal beneficiation plant. Raw coal fired power plant with raw coal can cause the environmental problem because without advanced off-gas cleaning system, power generation will be a source of another issue.

Purified coal and flue gas cleaning is to be considered to sustain the power plants and other environmental compliance 2027, with limits of environmental pollution control.
