Abstract
Catalytic pyrolysis of biodegradable component (food, vegetable and fruit waste) of municipal solid waste was investigated by using metalic catalysts. Their effect on product yield was studied on different temperature over 400-600 with heating rate at 5 ◦C/min. The pyrolytic oil yield was in the range of 38 to 59 wt% depending on the type of catalyst. Maximum oil yield was obtained at temperature of 500 ◦C. Products were characterized using gas-chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS).
