Abstract

The concept of wireless charging is not a new one. In this review discussion should be made on wireless charging, its protocols and how a device can be charged via a wireless modem automatically.[1] There are many techniques in wireless charging one of them is inducing current from a primary coil (charger) to a secondary coil (mobile device). [2] Another alternative way to charge a cellphone would be using a protection cover with a socket of charging and it can be used as a charger and as a protection cover at the same time. [3] The resonant wireless power transfer is also a technique to charge the devices such as mobile phones and hybrid cars without using a charging cradle or anything like that.[4] Last but not the least the PAN (Personal Area Network) can also be used to charge devices within its vicinity.[5] The concept of wireless charging is there to be worked upon. Main hurdle that stands in the way is the range (Distance of the charging modem with the device) of the signals that the charging device can catch.
