Architecture and literature both are ways of expressing humancognitive meanings and concepts. Similarly, when it comes to therichness of civilization; the art of architecture as well as literatureplay a major role. Meanwhile, the relationship between the fields ofarchitecture and literature and their impact on each other also has s avery important place in the formation of Iranian culture andcivilization. This study aims to investigate the roots of Iraniancivilization by examining the relationship between Iranianarchitecture and Persian literature. The research method is formedwith a qualitative approach and is done with the method ofcomparative study and content analysis. This study has identifiedand then examined three main connections between architecture andPersian literature: the use of architectural expressions in Persianliterature and poetry in the form of literary arrays in order to make agreater impact on the reader, creating space in fiction by describingqualities Architectural space and finally the use of Persian poemsand sentences in the decorations of various buildings, especially thetiles of mosques and heads in historic buildings. Finally, theresearch has concluded that there is a great connection betweenPersian literature and Iranian architecture.Keywords: Iranian architecture, Persian literature, decorations,poetry
