Shahwali ullah is a prominent figure of Eighteenth century. Duringthe three centuries since them, the scholars have been benefittingfrom his views and the process will continue in future as well. Hisviews have deeply affected the history, politics, culture andliterature.During his time, the revival of the real association to the HolyQuran and Sunnah was very difficult. The mental and spiritualdisputes and fake ideologies were in rogue.In this chaotic period, Shah wali Ullah was born to improve theprevailing conditions and to revive the message of the Holy Prophet(P.B.U.H). He introduced Sufism in the background of the HolyQuran and Sunnah. Literally and practically he was a sufi.He wrote many valuable books in Sufism in Persian language,including Altaf-ul-Quds, Al-Qual-ul-Jameel, Al intebah fi slasilAulia, Fayuzul Harmain, Anfasul Arfeen, Shifa-al-Qulub,Altafhemaat Ilahia, Hamaat, Sitaat, Maktoob-e-Madni, etc. thesebooks are a huge treasure of the facts and depths of Sufism andphilosophy of history. He was a great critic of unislamic riews andsayings of the ignorant sufis. He disliked the inappropriateexplanation of the sufis of his time.The present era badly needs the culture of civilized Sufism.
