Muhammad Imran is an accomplished scholar and human rights professional with a diverse academic background, including an MS in Security and Strategic Studies from the University of Management and Technology, a Bachelor of Law, and a Master’s in History, PGD International Affairs from University of the Punjab, Lahore – Pakistan. His interdisciplinary expertise bridges law, history, International security studies and International Relations, enabling him to analyze complex issues related to human rights, governance, and national security with a critical and solution-oriented approach.
He currently serves as Stenographer and Visiting Faculty Member in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising, School of Communication Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, where he teaches courses on Media Law and Ethics, Ethics of Persuasive Communication and Ideology and Constitution of Pakistan. His role also extends to assisting the Human Rights Chair and Harassment Inquiry Committee at the University of the Punjab, reflecting his sustained commitment to institutional integrity and social justice.
Imran’s research focuses on non-traditional security threats, particularly in areas of energy, environment, climate change, human security, and rule of law crises. He has authored and co-authored several papers published in HEC-recognized (Y-Category) journals, covering topics such as climate-security nexus, cyber warfare, psychological operations, and energy security. His active participation in international conferences underscores his engagement with global academic and policy dialogues on democracy, governance, and sustainability.
Beyond academia, Muhammad Imran has contributed over a decade of administrative and legal experience at the University of the Punjab and District & Sessions Court, Faisalabad, where he gained substantial expertise in institutional management, documentation, and procedural law.
Driven by a strong sense of public service and intellectual curiosity, he continues to pursue impactful research and academic endeavors aimed at promoting human security, sustainable governance, and equitable development in Pakistan and beyond.
