I Dr. Saima Arshed, have been a dedicated faculty member at the Department of Mathematics,
University of the Punjab, Lahore, since 2006. With over 18 years of experience in teaching and
conducting research within the Department of Mathematics at the University of the Punjab, Lahore, I
bring a wealth of expertise to my role.
I have authored 123 research papers that have been published in esteemed international journals,
boasting a combined impact factor (IF) of 328. These publications have garnered a noteworthy 2343
citations, resulting in a notable h-index of 28 and an i10-index of 64 for my research contributions,
as documented on my Google Scholar profile under the name Saima Arshed.
I have been recognized as one of the top 2% researchers globally for the four consecutive years
2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. This prestigious distinction was conferred by Stanford University in the
USA and is based on a comprehensive assessment of research papers, citations, h-index, and
  collaborative research contributions.
I, along with Dr. Anjan Biswas, introduced a novel mathematical model called the Biswas-Arshed
Model (BAM) in 2018. This model is designed to explain optical phenomena, specifically focusing on
optical solitons in the presence of higher-order dispersions while excluding self-phase modulation
  effects.
In addition, I had the privilege of serving as a Guest Editor for a special issue titled "Analytical Methods
to Model Nature" in the Journal of Mathematics, published by Hindawi.
Furthermore, I have earned recognition as an HEC (Higher Education Commission) approved
supervisor since 2019. I have successfully supervised 15 M.Phil thesis and 3 M.Phil thesis are in
