Dr. Zille Huma

Dr. Zille Huma is Assistant Professor in International Relations at the Department of Political Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore. She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervises postgraduate research. Dr. Huma’s research interests are discourses on China's rise, Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the subject of security and culture in the context of China's identity by incorporating multi-disciplinary extensions of post-western International Relations theory and emerging narratives on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (C-PEC).
Dr. Huma received her PhD scholarship by Higher Education Commission, Pakistan under Faculty Development Program , University of the Punjab, Lahore. She earned a PhD degree in International Relations from School of Global Studies, University of Sussex, UK in 2014. Dr. Huma attended Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan for her MSc and MPhil degrees in International Relations. Her professional experiences include teaching at University of the Punjab and COMSATS Institute of Management Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan. Before embarking on a University teaching career, she worked as Research Associate at China Study Centre, Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad, Pakistan.
