Ms. Saima Younis, is working as Research Officer in Molecular Diagnostics lab of CAMB since 2008. She is a diligent novice scientist with a proven record of academic success in field of diagnostics. She served in a challenging and dynamic environment of diagnostic lab towards a successful career by making the best out of her professional abilities and interpersonal skills.
She is well experienced in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology techniques like Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)/ RT (Real time) PCR/ Nested PCR, Genomic DNA isolation, Qualitative and Quantitative detection of hepatitis C virus and hepatitis B virus, Genotyping of hepatitis C virus, Microbiological techniques, RNA, DNA and Protein Extraction, PAGE & Agarose Gel Electrophoresis and documentation, Direct and Indirect ELISA.
Academically, she earned her M.Sc degree in Biochemistry, M.Phil in Molecular Biology and now she is persuing her Ph.D in Molecular Biology and Forensic sciences. She has worked on Detection of Salmonella typhi in dengue virus seropositive samples and Effect of Female Hormones in different ovarian conditions (ovarian cancer and PCOS) in her M. Phil and M. Sc thesis respectively. She has seven publications in national and international journals
