I have been working as "Research Officer Cum Lecturer" in Molecular Virology group of Centre of Excelence in Molecular Biology from 2007. Previously I have served in Shaukat Khaum Hospital and Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore as  "Medical Technologist"
In Molecular Virology lab I have worked on diagnostics and Prime Minister Program for Hepatitis Prevention and Control in Pakistan for PCR based detection, Quantification and Genotyping of Hepatitis B and C. I also worked PCR based detection of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis on commercial basis. In CEMB, I have learned many Molecular related techniques and got expertise on Nested and Real Time PCR, ELISA, Gel Electrophoresis, Molecular cloning, Sequencing, SDS-PAGE , Western Blotting and Cell Culturing etc. during working on different projects like Establishment of stable cell lines of structural and non structural genes of Hepatitis C Virus Genotype 3a and Genotype based co-relation of Hepatitis Delta virus with Hepatitis B virus. In year 2011, when Punjab was hit with a major outbreak of Dengue Virus, I have worked on detection and serotyping of Dengue samples received from Different districts of Punjab from 2011 to 2014 and also published the data in National and International journals.
I also have worked on the detection of Dengue virus in Larvae and adults Ades Mosquitoes (main vector of Dengue fever) collected from different districts of Punjab and KPK in order to predict any possible outbreak in different districts of Punjab and KPK and meanwhile published the data in some esteemed journals. Now a days I am working on a project for the development of Dengue vaccines.
I have been awarded "Performance Evaluation Awards" and "Research Incentive Awards” by University of the Punjab for the Years 2016-2020. I have been selected for the "International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP)" by HEC-Pakistan for 6 months training in PhD in CDC-USA in year 2019.
