Introduction
Dr. Ejaz Ali has joined Punjab University College of Pharmacy as a lecturer in the department of Pharmaceutical chemistry on May 16th, 2019. He is holding B. Pharmacy and M. Phil (Pharmaceutical chemistry) degrees from University of the Punjab, Lahore. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph. D in Pharmaceutical chemistry from the same university. His area of research is natural product isolation and analytical chemistry. He has used bioassay guided separation technique to isolate active phytoconstituents from a natural herb against Helicobacter pylori, a causative pathogen of gastric and duodenal ulcers.
He has seventeen years professional experience consisting retail pharmacy, dispensing pharmacy and pharmacy teaching. He has eight years teaching experience in different pharmacy institutions including; Superior University, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) and Lahore Pharmacy College. During his teaching he has taught subjects of microbiology, pharmaceutical organic chemistry, pharmaceutical biochemistry, pharmaceutical analysis and medicinal chemistry.
