|     Dr.-Ing.   Waseem Amin has more than 10 years of research and teaching experience   in the field of Materials Engineering. He earned his BSc. (Engr.) degree   in the field of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from University   of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in 2010. In 2010, he joined   Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering as a Lab Engineer at Ghulam   Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Topi KPK   and did his MSc. (Engr.) from the same faculty on fully funded scholarship awarded by GIKI. He is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.In   2012, he joined Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering   at UET Lahore as a visiting lecturer then he joined UET Taxila in 2014   as a lecturer to help the establishment of Department of Metallurgy and   Materials Engineering and taught UG courses to the students of   Mechanical Engineering Department. Additionally, he served there as   Deputy Director Placement and Career Counselling, Deputy Director   International Linkages, and Assistant PEB Coordinator to organize CPD   activities.
 In   2016, he moved to Germany to do doctoral research work on modeling and   simulation of grain boundary strengthening in metals using   strain-gradient crystal plasticity coupled multi-phase filed modeling in   an open source code OpenPhase. He also contributed to a sub   project funded by SFB and DFG on Ni-based super alloys. He presented his   work at different forums mainly in Germany. After returning to Pakistan   he joined Abbottabad University of Engineering and Technology in 2021   to contribute towards the establishment of Institute of Materials,   Minerals and Mining Engineering to offer degree programs in materials   engineering, to offer short course/training for industry personnel,   commercial materials' testing facilities for industries and academia. He   also served there as Director Admissions.
 He   joined Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, University of   the Punjab, Lahore in spring 2022 to create a positive impact   through value addition and working towards the awareness and promotion   of computational materials engineering in Pakistan. Currently, he is performing his duties as Assistant Professor, Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.
