Dr. Daud Ahmad started his teaching career at University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, Pakistan as a Teaching and Research Associate in 1995. He received his M. Phil. degree from QAU, Islamabad under the supervision of Dr. M. Ziad in the Field of General Relativity (Homothetic Motions). He received his Ph. D. degree from the University of the Punjab under the joint supervision of Prof. Dr. Shaban Ali Bhatti and Dr. Bilal Masud. His work is in the field of Differential Geometry and is related to variationally improved quasi-minimal surfaces spanned by different types of boundaries, extremizing different energy functionals. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. His research interests include Applied Mathematics, Computational Aspects and Variational Methods for Minimal Surfaces in Differential Geometry, Riemannian Geometry (symmetries of space-times). He has got published research articles in well-reputed international scientific journals and is reviewer of some journals of repute.
Prior to joining University of the Punjab, he has served at different institutions including Government College University, Lahore, University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, National College of Business Administration and Economics (N C B A & E), Lahore, Beaconhouse Informatics, Lahore, Royal Institute of Engineering & Technology (RIET), Lahore, NUST College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (E & M E), Rawalpindi.
