Dr. Khurshid Alam earned his PhD in English Literature from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, in 2017. His doctoral research, titled The Politics of Identity: A Critical Study of Pakistani Fiction in English, explores postcolonial identity and resistance in Anglophone Pakistani literature. His areas of interest include postcolonial studies, critical theory, South Asian literature, queer theory, and indigenous aesthetics.
   He has published extensively in reputed journals such as Contemporary Social Sciences (Routledge), Bazyaft, JRSP, Harf-o-Sukhan, and Annals of Human and Social Sciences. His recent book An Introduction to Literary Movements: Significant Eras for Literary Trends was published in 2025. He has also authored and co-authored textbooks on fiction, poetry, and drama widely used in university courses. Dr. Alam has presented his work at major academic conferences, including NeMLA, SALA, and the London Centre of Interdisciplinary Research, and has chaired sessions at national conferences on literature and language.
   Currently serving as Associate Professor at the Institute of English Studies, University of the Punjab, he has over two decades of teaching experience and has supervised more than 25 MPhil and PhD theses. He has developed and taught a wide range of graduate and postgraduate courses including Literary and Critical Theory, Renaissance Drama, and South Asian Literature. Dr. Alam is also actively involved in curriculum design, academic advisory boards, and inter-university examination and review committees. In addition to his academic contributions, he is committed to community outreach and advocacy, particularly in the areas of interfaith harmony, gender equality, and educational inclusion.
