Prof. Dr. Nadeem Irfan Bukhari joined University College of Pharmacy, University of the Punjab, Lahore, in 2001. He held teaching positions with International Medical University (IMU), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, University College Sedaya International (UCSI), Kuala Lumpur, School of Pharmacy and the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Bahawalpur. Before, he worked as Radiopharmacist & Hospital Pharmacist at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Lahore.
At IMU and UCSI he was also involved in the Pharmacy programs of University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, and Curtin University of Technology, Australia. He published more than 88 research papers in journals of impact factors and authored or coauthored a couple of professional books. As a member, Panel of Experts, Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan, he provided consultation on the matters related to Pharmaceutical industry. He delivered invited lectures at international institutions including University College London, London, UK. He has been visiting professor at DeMont Fort University, Leicester, UK. His students have accomplished PhD degrees from DeMont Fort University, University of Otago, New Zealand and University of the Punjab, Lahore. Areas of his research are: Pharmaceutical Technology, Nanotechnology, Liquid/Semisolid Matrix Technology, Artificial Intelligence in Formulation Design, Innovative Deliveries, Bioequivalence, Bioavailability, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Statistics, PK-PD Modeling, and Pharmacoecnomics.
Dr. Nadeem is recipient of a research fellowship from University College London, London UK. He obtained several international research grants and sponsorships from IMU and the World Health Organization-Health Action International. He obtained B. Pharm and M.Phil degrees from Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan and University of the Punjab, Lahore, respectively and PhD from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. Based on his performance during his B.Pharm, he was awarded President's Talent Scholarship. He remained to be a cartoonist whose work had been appeared in leading National Urdu and English dailies for about 10 years.
