Department of Public Relations & Advertising

The Department of Public Relations and Advertising is a much focused, cause-driven, and purpose serving department committed to produce leading and dynamic Public Relations and Advertising professionals. The department has 4-fold educational mission:
• Teaching Mission
• Research Mission
• Entrepreneurship Mission
• Service Mission

Our students are prepared to contribute in the holistic development of the society by learning and applying latest techniques, tools, strategies, policies, and skills. Our programs are based on a broad range of courses, enabling students to develop theoretical insights and practical skills for becoming successful professionals.
Our objective is to produce experts who are aware of ethical responsibilities, well-educated in their areas, with vision, creative and capable of finding solutions to arising problems, addressing the needs of the sector’s varying requirements in the globalized world.
Career Opportunities:
Public Relations and Advertising degree holders are more in demand now-a-days. There are wide range of options for our degree holders to be entrepreneurs and/or join a number of career paths in Public Relations and Advertising, for instance working as Information Officers in government departments (DGPR, PID, ISPR, to name a few), and in semi government and autonomous organizations as PROs, social media planners, media buyers, media relations officers, customer relations officers, fundraisers, strategic planners, public diplomats, special events coordinators, content writers, copywriters, graphic designers, web managers, digital marketing managers, creative directors, account executives, product managers, researchers and subject experts/teacher.
