Abstract

Many times Bag filters run unstable during plant operation without obvious reasons. The filter Stability depends on operating conditions. Stability studies were reported in an earlier paper [On the stability of Pulse-Jet Regenerated Bag Filter Operation. Saleem, Mahmood and Krammer, Gernot. 5, s.l. : Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH and Co. KGaA, Weinheim, 2012, Chemical Engineering Technology, Vol. 35, pp. 877-884.].  There the mode of bags regeneration was between upper and lower pressure drop limits. The study is extended to investigate plant stability for the mode of bag regeneration at upper pressure drop limit. The results reveal that all of the tested parameters influence filter stability and that all unstable conditions are reversible by mere adjustment of the operating parameters.
