Focus and Scope

South Asian Studies is a double blind peer reviewed; open access journal published bi-annually by the Centre for South Asian Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan using the OJS Software. This Journal is a double-blind refereed scholarly journal, committed to consider original and unpublished scholarly critiques, theoretical, conceptual and research articles that contribute to the understanding of issues and problems of South Asia at local, national and international levels.

Peer Review Process

After plagiarism check with Turnitin and a preliminary editorial review, articles are sent to two/three referees for double blind review. Authors are informed about comments of the referees for revising the article accordingly, if required. The review process may take two to three months.

 

Publication Frequency

South Asian Studies first published in 1984. Issues are released on the 1st of June and December.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to all of its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. As such, copyright for articles published in this journal is retained by the authors, under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Such access is associated with increased readership and increased citation of an author's work. For more information on this approach, see the Directory of Open Access Journals.

 

Archiving

South Asian Studies participates in the CLOCKSS Archive. The CLOCKSS system has permission to ingest, preserve, and serve this Archival Unit.
