Yaqub Sarfi is one of the famous Persian poets of Kashmir region and aknown as a prominent figure of Sufism, a proficient scholar and a mystic insubcontinent. One of his unpublished works is a Masnavi called Maqamate-Pir-e-Rah, which was written about the circumstances of his Murshid,Kamal al-Din Hussein Kharazmi, who was a significant Sufi of Kibroya inthe 10th century in Transoxiana. It is the only literary work written abouthim in the subcontinent.
