Abstract


Syed Fateh Ali Gardezi was unquestionably a wonderful poet of PersianGhazal in Subcontinent. Surprisingly his deep, moderate, mystical, musical andmagical charm remained hidden. The most important and incomparable beautyof his work is Diwan-e-Hussaini, a collection of Ghazals and Short Poems. HisDiwan is a charming example of oriental literature having deep philosophy ofHafiz, spiritual wisdom of Rumi, simplicity of Saadi and musical rhythm ofAmir Khosrow.Key words:Syed Fateh Ali Gardezi, Diwan, Persian Literature, Subcontinent
