Abstract

Bozorg Alavi is one of the most significant fiction writers of Iran in 20thcentury. “Cheshmhayesh” (His Eyes) is one of his most popular and wellappreciated novels. In most of his writings “woman” has significant role.He has expressed the female’s sentiments, emotions, thoughts,psychological issues and moral aptitude at length. In this article hisfamous novel “Cheshmhayesh” has been evaluated and the role of“woman” in his writings has been analyzed.Key words: Woman, Iran’s Contemporary fiction, Bozorg Alavi,Cheshmhayesh.
