Abstract

Persian literature in the Subcontinent has a long history and great cultural value. Over the centuries, this language played an important role in the growth of various literary and critical movements. Among all scholars, Allama Shibli Nomani stands as one of the most prominent researchers and literary critics who made significant contributions to the understanding and analysis of Persian poetry and prose. With a precise and scholarly approach, he examined literary works and paved the way for modern literary criticism in the region. Using a descriptive-analytical method, this research explores Shibli Nomani's writings and critical views. The main objective of this study is to highlight his academic status in Persian criticism and to understand his methodology in analyzing major literary works. The findings of this study show that Shibli Nomani's critical analyses, particularly in defining stylistic features and the aesthetic beauty of poetry, remain a valuable and guiding resource for researchers of Persian literature today.
