Among thepeers  of  Iqbal,  Nairang  was  an  ambitious  and  optimistic  poet.Interaction  with  Iqbal  and  an  exposure  of  Iqbal's  poetic  geniusbestowed  Nairan,s  poetry  with  a  novel  spirit  and  poetic  sense.Nai r a n g' s   Ur d u   Gh a za l   is   p a r t i c ula r l y  r e c o gn i z e d   f o r   i tssimplicity,  extempore  expression  and  aesthetic  pleasure.  Iqbal'spoetic   influence  is   prominently  felt  in   the  underlying  poeticsense and quite visible in the expression of Nairang's poetry.
