Focus and Scope

Aim

The aim of Journal of Elementary Education is the dissemination of research findings at national and international level to enhance quality and harmonize elementary education at global horizons.  

Objectives

The objectives of Journal of Elementary Education are as follows:

  • 1.       Special emphasis on improving the teacher education practices at elementary level.
  • 2.       Enhance quality of education at elementary education.
  • 3.       Improve quality of research at elementary level.
  • 4.       Provide input for the policy formation at elementary level.
  • 5.       Give input for curriculum development at elementary level.
  • 6.       Address the issues of all stakeholders at elementary level i.e. teachers, students, parents, and community.
  • 7.       Share the international practices of elementary level to improve the elementary education across the globe.  

Scope

The scope of the Journal of Elementary Education includes, but not limited to, the following.

  • 1.       Teacher education and teaching and learning process at elementary level.
  • 2.       Literacy and non-formal education at elementary level.
  • 3.       Pre-service elementary teacher education.
  • 4.       Research methods in elementary education including qualitative, quantitative, mix methods, action research etc.
  • 5.       Developmental studies at elementary level.
  • 6.       Student learning, achievement, behaviour, motivation and development at elementary level.
  • 7.       Curriculum development and policy formation
  • 8.       Teacher training and capacity building
  • 9.       Guidance and counselling
  • 10.   Comparative education
  • 11.   Inclusive education and special needs education
  • 12.   Leadership and supervision at elementary level.

JEE Editing Section

All the received papers will be sent to this section. Editor of this section will do preliminary review and give feedback on the formatting of the paper and send a preliminary review report to author. After receiving amended paper he/she will upload the revised version for further processing.

Peer Review Process

All submissions/articles submitted to the Journal of Elementary education go through a process of blind review by a panel of reviewers. Each submission is reviewed by three reviewers including two foreign reviewers (from academically advanced countries) and one local reviewer (expert in the field. Submission must be accepted by all three reviewers. Submission is published after confirming that all the changes suggested by reviewers have been incorporated. Submission fail to make amendments in the light of the reviewers’ comments are discarded.


 

Publication Frequency

Journal of Elementary Education is a biannual blind peer reviewed journal and is regularly published in June and December. For the forthcoming issue of the Journal of Elementary Education papers with the prescribed specification are welcomed across the year. Only electronic submissions are accepted.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
