LAHORE: (Thursday, June 09, 2016): Punjab University Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) has signed an MoU with Institute of Research Promotion (IRP) to bridge the gap between industrial, commercial sector and academia. In this regard, and MoU signing ceremony was held on Thursday at VC office in which PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran, Director ORIC Prof. Dr. Aamir Ijaz, Acting Treasurer Mr Muhammad Sharif Rao, Mr. Abid H,K Sharwani Director ORIC, UMT/CEO of Institute of Research Promotion, Mr. Rehmat Ullah, Dr Shakeel Awan and others participated.

Under this MoU, the objective of R&D promotion, training, collaboration and developing enabling environment for academia and industry will be met. Prof. Dr. Aamir Ijaz said the purpose of this MoU is to promote the culture of academic & research using innovative approach to serve the cause of research and development in the university particularly and for society at large for greater social and economic impact. It is also helpful to organize annual Invention to Innovation Summit, he added.
